The Page Manager is used to define the structure of your web site and hold the main content of pages. You can create an unlimited number of pages, structured in any way you desire.

For example, you may want your web site to show information about your company, as well as a page for each of your products. Additionally, you may want another page to list your contact details.

A possible structure for this site may look like:

It is in the Page Manager where you would define this structure and create the content for each of these pages.

Getting Started

To get started using the Page Manager, click on the Pages tab in the main navigation.

The Page Manager is split into two sections. On the left hand side is the structure of your web site. For each page in your web site, there is one entry in the tree. We refer to this structure as the "pages tree". If there are more pages within a given page, its icon will look like a folder, otherwise it the icon will look like a piece of paper.

If a folder has a plus or minus icon beside it you can expand or contract the section. Clicking on a page will show its details in the right-hand pane.

Each page that you create can have a live or draft version (or both). Draft pages can only be viewed on your live site while you are logged-in to the Control Panel.

When a page has a draft version only (i.e. doesn't have a live version), the page will appear in the tree in orange text; when a page has both a draft version and a live version, it will appear in green text; when a page only has a live version (as it will a majority of the time), it will appear in the tree in black text.
