Creating a Page

To create a new page you can either click the New Live Page or the New Draft Page tab when viewing a page. Either option will create a new page directly beneath the current page. If you click New Live Page then the page will become live as soon as you save it, whereas if you click New Draft Page it will not immediately be published.

To create the page, you must enter its title and URL, as well as selecting a template and entering the page body.

The title is used to identify the page within Recite, and by default will also be displayed live on your web site.

The URL field is automatically generated by what is entered in the title field, but you can overwrite this as required. If you create a page with a URL value of products directly below the home page, the new page will be accessible with the full URL of http://www.example.com/products.

The template field determines which layout to use when displaying your page. This lists templates you create in the Template Manager with the type of Page Manager: Page Body.

Next you can enter the content of your page in the WYSIWYG editor. Refer to the WYSIWYG Editor Guide chapter in this guide for more details on how to use the WYSIWYG editor.

Finally, click the Save Page button to save your created page. If the URL value you entered is already in use you will be prompted to enter a new value.
